"This design was inspired by the parallel landscapes across the globe where Sawyer products are used. As a Pacific Crest Trail and Appalachian Trail hiker, I’ve been using Sawyer filters for the past 6 years while trekking over 5,000 miles. Little did I know at the time that the same filter I was using while crouched over a babbling brook in the High Sierras, was also being used in Liberia. With the help of Sawyer, Liberia will be first developing country with clean water, border to border, in every household by December of 2020. This is something worth celebrating!
It is my hope that this design shows the confluence of these two landscapes and cultures, and serves as a reminder of how water unites all of us who are lucky to call earth our home."
